Cross-country skiing
On wednesday, I bought skis (and a small set of necessary accessories). I did a little test run on thursday (where the same thing happened to me as to the norweigan olymics team–I used the wrong resin). But today was my first real cross-country tour. It’s been 20 years since I last did this (in the Harz hills in Germany); my experience with “vita blixten” in the Swedish army doesn’t really count.
We skied for a little more than 10 kilometres, from Frognerseteren to Sognsvann via Ullevålseter. I am positively exhausted. And I forgot my camera
Update
Just a quick pointer to the web site of Skiforeningen where you can get lots of tips, including what resin and wax to use. They also have an RSS feed, updated daily, with information on the state of the many tracks outside Oslo.
